HUAWEI eKit strives to simplify AI adoption for SMBs

The prevalence of artificial intelligence (AI) in the business landscape has pointed to one thing: it has become crucial for enterprises to thrive. Yet small and medium businesses (SMBs) continue to struggle with organization-wide AI adoption. Foundry’s AI Priorities Survey 2025 found that the majority (68%) of SMBs surveyed are still either researching on AI or only piloting AI initiatives, whereas only 28% of their larger counterparts are in the early stages.

This is despite the fact that AI has a huge potential to level the playing field for SMBs. For one, it can reduce the cost of the myriad, disparate systems that make up traditional IT infrastructures. The ability to help employees shift from mundane and manual tasks to more strategic ones will go a long way to enhancing business value.

Huawei launched the HUAWEI eKit 4+10+N SME Intelligence Solutions (HUAWEI eKit) as part of its efforts to meet the needs of SMBs, which will be showcased for the first time oversees at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona 2-5 March.

The HUAWEI eKit is designed to address the high bar around AI adoption felt by SMEs, including AI awareness, technical capabilities, and AI application. It achieves this by providing one-stop products and scenario-specific solutions for SMEs together with distribution partners, taking on complexity internally while delivering simplicity to customers and partners – providing last-mile services for SMEs undergoing intelligent transformation.

Overcoming the obstacles of AI adoption

To ease AI adoption while driving operational efficiency and business growth, SMBs should look towards solution suites that look at AI deployment from a broader, scenario-based perspective.

Huawei overhauled its distribution business to address this market pain point, shifting from selling standalone products to offering one-stop scenario-based solutions that are easier for installers to deliver. Under this new approach, Huawei designs its specific solutions around real-world business use cases. The HUAWEI eKit 4+10+N SME Intelligence Solutions released have all been designed according to this approach.

The solution encompasses:

  • 4 scenarios, with this encapsulating core business operations: intelligent office, intelligent business, intelligent education, and intelligent healthcare.
  • 10 one-stop, scenario-based solutions, which is derived from the above 4 scenarios, such as SME office, intelligent hotel, digital diagnosis platform, and intelligent interactive classroom solutions.
  • N refers to a series of star products tailored to these scenarios. These include products from the HUAWEI eKit Engine AR180 series enterprise-grade routers, and IdeaHub products that are powered by AI.

These technologies come pre-integrated and pre-validated with the solutions, which makes delivery more flexible. This allows installers to easily bundle products to meet the specific needs of different scenarios.

As one of the four scenarios, Intelligent Office includes the Startup Space Office Solution and the SMB Office Solution, which are two of the aforementioned 10 one-stop, scenario-based solutions. These two solutions help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) enhance their AI application capabilities in a scenario-based manner.

For a startup, the startup office solution simplifies things through integration, enabling an entire network with just one device. A single AR180 device can build an entire network, integrating eight major functions into one: routing, switching, Wi-Fi 7, VPN, MESH, WAC, internet access control, and Turbo, which aligns with Huawei’s vision of “To make sure no SME is left behind in the intelligent world”. To address pain points in SME offices, the SME office solution has upgraded to an end-to-end 2.5GE + Wi-Fi 7 high-performance network, meeting the high-bandwidth office requirements of enterprises for AI design, AI video production, 4K video conferencing, and other needs over the next 3 to 5 years.

Huawei also provides additional sales enablement for its distribution partners, including quicker access to related resources, solution demonstrations, and scenario-based configuration plans that significantly reduce product selection and solution design difficulty for both installers and customers. For delivery services, Huawei supports unified installation, centralized network management, and consolidated customer support that allows customers to rapidly adopt AI, while ensuring worry-free delivery for installers.

Building on Huawei’s more than 30 years of experience in the ICT field, HUAWEI eKit was launched, globally, in 2023, empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) around the world to achieve intelligent transformation. It built a collaborative model with channel partners, offering specialized training, technical support, and simplified sales tools to promote the popularization of its solutions in the region. Today, it continues to provide global SMEs with easy-to-use and maintain intelligent solutions.

In the near future, successful AI adoption will no longer be a lofty goal for SMBs, but an opportunity they need to seize to achieve their next level of growth. The key is having the right competencies and infrastructure to make this a reality.

With end-to-end intelligent products that can be delivered by solutions such as the HUAWEI eKit, SMBs can stay poised for transformative change through AI—just like their larger enterprise counterparts.
