Accelerating AI success with Cloudera AMPs

AI is moving fast, but turning pilots into production takes more than excitement. It demands skilled teams, the right infrastructure, and significant time. Large enterprises can often throw resources at the challenge, but most businesses are looking for a smarter, faster path to measurable AI value.

Cloudera believes enterprise-grade AI should be within reach for every organization, not just a few. That’s why we created Accelerators for Machine Learning Projects (AMPs): open-source, production-ready solutions that eliminate complexity and speed up deployment across any environment. Now, with Cloudera, users have more control over how they build AI projects. That means whether an organization prefers to build everything themselves with familiar tools, tap into pre-built AMP templates for a quick deployment, or go with a low-code/no-code solution for RAG pipelines and agents.

In the era of Generative AI, Machine Learning models and other types of artificial intelligence are still useful and a core piece of many enterprises. Surrounding both the classical ML and the modern Generative AI with the right controls and governance is fundamental. Cloudera AMPs help teams build what matters, whether that is a chatbot trained on internal documentation or a domain-specific language model, without starting from scratch. The pace of AI adoption and integration is only getting faster. With AMPs, data scientists can now go from ideation to a fully functioning use case quickly. Effectively realizing the same convenience and speed that we see on GenAI experiments, but with robust end-to-end production-grade models and algorithms.

Cloudera’s AMPs bring an end-to-end framework for building, deploying, and monitoring business-ready AI/ML applications instantly. Integrated with Cloudera’s platform, AMPs work wherever data, compute, or teams are located, on-prem, in the clouds, or across both, using state-of-the-art zero-copy data sharing.

Read on to see how AMPs help you deploy faster, customize smarter, and scale responsibly with open, enterprise-ready tools.

Faster AI deployment with pre-built solutions

Starting with existing code or open-source models can help teams move fast, but scaling AI requires more than speed. Many organizations run into legal risks and security gaps when solutions aren’t built with enterprise standards in mind. In fact, a new Cloudera survey on the state of enterprise AI found that almost half (46%) of IT leaders are worried about the security and compliance risks that exist with AI.

Take a financial services team that modifies an open-source chatbot built for e-commerce. At first, it works. But once tested, the bot pulls in irrelevant data, fails on regulatory accuracy, and sparks concerns around governance. The project stalls, and the business misses its moment. The institution may not even be able to know where it failed or have enough observability or telemetry on the system. They don’t even know where the system may “hallucinate” and provide incorrect, inconsistent, or incomplete answers.

Cloudera AMPs remove the guesswork by delivering tested code, infrastructure-as-code templates, and clear documentation—everything teams need to launch quickly. More importantly, they are engineered with enterprise-grade security, governance, and compliance built in. That means organizations can innovate with confidence, knowing their AI solutions are production-ready and safe to run across hybrid and multi-cloud environments without added risk or complexity

Customizing AL/ML and LLMs without deep AI expertise

LLMs promise transformative capabilities, yet off-the-shelf models rarely meet enterprise-grade requirements. Tailoring them to your business requires time, specialized talent, and significant computing resources, which are investments many teams struggle to make as pressure to deliver AI results mounts. The gap is essential for organizations lacking deep in-house expertise: a Cloudera survey found that 38% of IT leaders cite insufficient AI training or talent as a top barrier to adoption. Cloudera removes this barrier with AMPs designed to make ML customization fast, secure, and accessible.

Let’s take a closer look at the AMPs helping organizations operationalize GenAI with speed and precision:

  • Churn prediction AMP
    • Uses a logistic regression classification model to predict the probability that a group of customers will churn. The model is interpreted using a technique called Local Interpretable Model-agnostic Explanations (LIME). Both the logistic regression and LIME models are deployed using CML’s real-time model deployment capability and interact with a basic Flask-based web application. The model is ready to ingest any customer domain data in their own secure environment and start making predictions.
  • Explainability with LIME and SHAP
    • Provides a notebook on how to explain machine learning models using tools such as SHAP and LIME. It explores concepts such as global and local explanations, illustrated with six different models – Naive Bayes, Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest, Gradient Boosted Tree, and a Multilayer Perceptron.
  • RAG with knowledge graph AMP
    • Combines real-time Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) with any knowledge graphs to boost answer accuracy. It maps complex relationships between data points—ideal for finance, legal, or healthcare fields, where nuance and trust matter.
  • Agentic security scanning AMP
    • This is a multi-agent artificial intelligence system designed to perform automated security analysis on enterprise software repositories. When software engineers deploy any code, the agent will act like your product cybersecurity team, evaluating every single line of code, dependencies, and potential problems.  This system demonstrates how multiple specialized AI agents can collaborate through directed workflows to analyze codebases for security vulnerabilities, documentation gaps, and test coverage issues.

Enterprise-ready AI, open by design

Open-source tools offer flexibility, but the next challenge is scaling them securely in an enterprise context. Cloudera AMPs are designed to bridge open innovation with production-grade reliability. They plug directly into existing infrastructure, help teams move beyond experimentation, and lower the cost and risk of enterprise AI.
