With an increasingly decentralized workforce and unprecedented demands from both business and the economy, the network as always is the all-important component of a modern IT infrastructure of an organization. The emergence of new age technologies like AI, Gen AI, SD- WAN is pushing the technology companies to evolve rapidly, creating technology that not only keeps pace with development but also enhances it.
A primary technology driving this evolution is the network industry, the substrate on which global organizations function seamlessly. It has now grown significantly, becoming a US$ 5.09 billion industry in India’s networking infrastructure in 2023, and projected to hit over US$ 6 billion in 2028.
The new era of networks
Ruckus builds and delivers purpose-driven networks that perform in the world’s most challenging environments.
Since its introduction in 2019, WiFi-6 has been the ‘go to’ for high-performance industries, meeting their demands of speed, network efficiency, and performance in crowded environments compared to its predecessors.
Wi-Fi 7 promises to pack an even bigger punch, as it can greatly improve these capabilities by providing faster data rates, lower latency, and better interference management, making it more suitable for new technologies like AR/VR, 8K streaming, and the growing Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem, says Sanjiv Verma, Vice President – APAC, RUCKUS Networks.
Estimates show that the Wi-Fi 7 Global Market Size will be US$ 24.2 billion by 2030.
Wi-Fi 7’s extreme speeds, low latency and increased capacity delivers exceptional user experiences and empower an entirely new class of advanced connected devices and demanding applications.
The networks of today are expected to be scalable, agile, AI-ready, flexible, intelligent and of course secure, and Wi-Fi 7 is acting as a major propellent of modern networking needs of CIOs, he adds.
Purpose driven technology
Ruckus’s range of products is designed to provide a one-stop solution to an organization’s every need, with an array of products in cloud and software, management, switches and access points.
Speaking of the WLAN market growth, Jitendra Gupta, Regional Director, India & SAARC, Ruckus highlights, “Enterprise-class WLAN grew by 90.0% year-over-year by vendor revenue, with verticals such as education, services, hospitality, and retail growing at an even stronger pace, and cloud-managed wireless gaining significant traction.”
Switching business in India had a strong 30.4% YoY growth by vendor revenue with key industries that contributed to the switching business include services, finance, telecom, and manufacturing as per Jitendra.
In 2018, Ruckus IoT Suite, a new approach to building access networks to support IoT deployments was launched.
Ruckus Cloudpath product, is a secure network access software which allows any user and any device to join any network–wired or wireless—securely, says Sanjiv.
The controllers with AI/ML enabled network analytics and assurance, which automatically alert IT to network anomalies and offers actionable insights to fix those before they become service affecting.
AI for the Future
Sanjiv highlights the new era of networking, which has evolved to meet the evolving needs of organizations, merging deliverance and accessibility for customers.
“Modern Networks are getting more diverse and complex. With service disruptions and subject matter expertise getting costlier to manage, and hybrid work almost a guarantee in most organizations, Ruckus has worked on creating new technologies that meet these demands, says Sanjiv.
The role of AI within enterprise networks is expanding being deployed in Day-to-day network management, Network automation, Network troubleshooting, Network design and optimization, Configuring and adapting network to an organization’s business intent.
Ultimately, as AI driven solutions take centerstage, and its popularity drives down the costs of AI training, Ruckus is getting ahead of the curve of mass adoption.
RUCKUS is capitalizing on this trend with RUCKUS One which has a built-in RUCKUS AI engine that ensures Unified Management & Assurance, Flexible Subscriptions and other benefits, says Sanjiv.
Partners for the win
Ruckus believes in focused partnerships with channel partners including distributions, SIs, ISVs, resellers, across the globe including India and SAARC to cater to the growing networking market demands across industries of all sizes.
Thomas Schwab, World Wide Vice President, Channels and Alliances, Ruckus Networks says, “With the RUCKUS BIG DOGS Partner Program, Ruckus will prioritize partners by their tier, each with its own advantages, designed to foster a mutually successful relationship. RUCKUS provides extensive resources, training, incentives and engagement to help build a trusted and mutually profitable relationship.”
The Ruckus’ diverse suite of products covers all bases that an organization might need – from Edge Computing, Zero Trust, Policy to AIOps.
Ruckus is intent on providing premium quality services across demanding, fast-paced industries, like hospitality, multi-conglomerates and manufacturing, says Jitendra Gupta, Regional Director, India & SAARC, Ruckus.
