In today’s business environment, where IT budgets are tight and sustainability is paramount, striking a balance between financial and environmental objectives is crucial. HP understands this challenge and offers a suite of services designed to help companies maximise their technology ROI while reducing their environmental footprint.
HP’s approach goes beyond mere sustainability; it’s about driving real impact at every stage of the product lifecycle. From optimising design and manufacturing, to extending product lifespan and implementing responsible end-of-life practices. HP Renew Services help companies achieve their financial goals while making meaningful strides towards a more sustainable future.
Accelerate your sustainable impact
Protect your investment and embrace circularity by maximising the lifecycle of your IT assets and services and reusing of end-of-use devices [1] [2].
Secure IT asset disposition
Give end-of-use technology a new purpose with the HP IT Asset Disposition Service [3], providing secure and responsible processing of hardware assets.
Maximise your IT assets
Defer refresh costs by extending the life of current devices [4] and enhance PC performance for improved employee productivity with HP Device Life Extension.
PCs delivered carbon neutral
Be confident your partnership with HP will help reduce your technology impact with new PCs delivered carbon neutral [5] [6].
Reduce both the TCO and impact of your technology
IT asset disposition
Contribute to the circular economy by giving your end-of-use devices a second life. HP securely collects old devices and wipes all data, returning any residual value to you [7] [8].
Carbon Neutral
From product manufacturing to daily PC use, HP integrates carbon offsets into each device, making it easier for you to support your sustainability goals.
Device life extension
Maximise IT investments and reduce carbon impact by extending the life of your existing devices [9] [10] through secure performance upgrades and resolving common productivity issues.
HOPE Recycling Futures
Promote digital equity and circularity by donating eligible PCs through HP’s global PC donation program. HP collects, refurbishes and ships PCs to selected schools and non-profits in need.

[4] Fair market value will be assessed based on the age and condition of the recovered device. If a device does not have any residual value, HP will responsibly recycle it through HP’s approved partners.
[5] There are two offset options available: HP’s Carbon Neutral to the Door option covers carbon offsetting of material extraction, component and product manufacturing, and product logistics. HP’s Lifecycle option covers everything in the Carbon Neutral to the Door option plus device usage based on a four-year lifecycle for commercial HP notebooks and mobile workstations, and a five-year lifecycle for commercial HP desktops, displays, and workstations, and end-of-service.
[6] Lifecycle assessments (LCA) are validated by a third-party to conform to ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 and are used by HP to understand the total carbon footprint for HP personal systems products. Using this data, along with the information unique to each customer (e.g., product ship-to location, product portfolio), HP calculates the total carbon emissions for a customer’s fleet. HP then purchases and retires carbon offsets, procured through Climate Impact Partners who certifies HP’s Carbon Neutral Computing Services in accordance with its Carbon Neutral Protocol (https://www.carbonneutral.com/the-carbonneutral-protocol).
