Information technology services company Kyndryl has announced changes to its technology leadership team, which will now be led by Kim Basile, previously vice president of IT transformation and strategy at the company, as the new CIO of the group.
Basile joined Kyndryl in May 2022 and has held senior roles at Lockheed Martin, Leidos, and Vanguard. As CIO, Basile will be responsible for further developing Kyndryl’s technology foundation and driving continuous improvement of the employee experience.
The new CIO will replace Michael Bradshaw, who will now take on the role of global leader of Kyndryl’s Applications, Data, and Artificial Intelligence practice. In his new role, Bradshaw, who previously held leadership positions at NBCUniversal Media, Lockheed Martin, and IBM, will work closely with Kyndryl Consult to help clients modernize their technology environments by implementing AI. As Kyndryl’s first CIO, Bradshaw orchestrated the company’s massive IT transformation as part of its spin off from IBM, including weaning off IBM IT systems.
Kyndryl also announced Nicolas Sekkaki’s new role as leader of the company’s global Cloud practice, where he will help the IT service provider’s clients take advantage of modernization and transformation opportunities in the cloud. Sekkaki had been leading Kyndryl’s Applications, Data and AI practice, and previously worked at companies such as CMA CGM, IBM, and SAP.
Martin Schroeter, president and CEO of Kyndryl, welcomed the appointments, saying, ““Each of these appointments align well with our strategy, market demand and secular trends. They will help us accelerate our growth and support our customers now and for the long term. Kim Basile, Michael Bradshaw, and Nicolas Sekkaki are three great professionals who, with their extensive experience in each of their fields, will help us accelerate our growth and, of course, support and help our customers in their current and future plans.”
