AI is a technology inspiring not only CIOs, CTOs, and other technology leaders, it’s also inspiring the wider culture. A prime example Pulitzer- and Tony-winning playwright Ayad Akhtar.
His new AI-inspired play, McNeal, is currently on Broadway staring Robert Downey Jr.
New York Times theater critic Jesse Green called the play “a thought experiment about art and A.I.” that asks: “What creative opportunities does such technology afford the artist? What human opportunities does it squander? Forget the sword: It’s the pen vs. the pixel.”
Akhtar will be kicking off FutureIT New York, a conference for IT leaders, on November 21 at Convene 247 Park. He will share his perspective on AI and other technologies and offer insights and questions that technology leaders should consider as they develop and implement AI-infused products that affect everyone.
We’re also thrilled to announce that CIO will give away a pair of tickets to McNeal at the event. You must be present to win, so register now to join us.
Also at the event we’ll be diving into successful AI case studies, learning how to use emerging technologies to drive efficiency and innovation, discussing IT leadership, and looking at the latest IDC research on the evolving open source ecosystem.
