NetSuite this week continued to add new AI capabilities to its suite offering that are expected to help enterprises expand their customization capabilities and improve AI-assisted workflows.
The new AI capabilities include the Prompt Management API, the CPQ AI Assistant, the NetSuite Expert for SuiteAnswers, and a text enhancer for custom fields, and come with no additional cost, the company said.
The previous update, which included a new NetSuite Connector for Salesforce, and developer tools, such as the Prompt Studio and SuiteScript, came in September last year as part of the company’s SuiteWorld conference.
The Prompt Management API is designed to help enterprises with AI integrations and customizations by centralizing the management and deployment of prompts used by large language models (LLMs) in NetSuite.
The CPQ AI Assistant, on the other hand, which is essentially an AI agent, is designed to help enterprises accelerate sales processes, and increase end customer satisfaction.
The AI agent supports sellers and buyers as they configure products and services, the company said, adding that it can recommend a suitable product configuration via a natural language conversation and also provide a summary.
The updates also include a text enhancer for custom fields that are expected to help enterprises improve the speed and accuracy of data entry with the help of generative AI, Evan Goldberg, founder and executive vice president of NetSuite, said in a statement.
The text enhancer uses customer enterprise data to populate custom fields, Goldberg explained, adding that enterprises can use the earlier added Prompt Studio to configure AI-generated text suggestions in the right format, tone, and creativity level for any custom text field in NetSuite in order to improve AI-assisted workflows.
In order to help its customer enterprises with issue resolution, the company has added NetSuite Expert for SuiteAnswers, which is expected to tackle issues with the help of an AI agent that delivers tailored NetSuite guidance based on a catalog of support resources.
NetSuite moves to Oracle Autonomous Database and other updates
As part of this week’s updates, NetSuite’s Goldberg said that the company was migrating to Oracle Autonomous Database to take advantage of the fully managed Oracle Database in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
This migration will also allow NetSuite to take advantage of existing Oracle services, such as the Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse, OCI’s AI Services, and the Oracle Integration Cloud among others.
Other updates include a NetSuite connector for Outlook, enhancements to NetSuite Advanced Procurement, NetSuite SuiteBilling, and an integration with the Digital Business Network Alliance.
The NetSuite connector for Outlook, according to the company, will help enterprises automatically share data between NetSuite and Outlook.
The enhancements made to Advanced Procurement and SuiteBilling would help enterprises streamline purchasing, optimize spending, and improve flexibility in subscription invoicing and allocation by integrating prepay functionality that will increase customization in subscription management.
The integration with the Digital Business Network Alliance is targeted at helping enterprise customers in the US streamline invoicing and the settlement process, the company said.
