2022 Events and Awards: What to expect

This year we have launched a packed calendar of events, with new topics to explore, more awards and the safe return of in-person gatherings.

16-17 March 2022: CSO Security Summit

In March, we host the CSO Security Summit with the theme: Leading Together. From how to hack your cyber security culture, to determining what type of CISO you are, this two-day event should leave you inspired and ready to explore the new cyber security frontier. The event will be held virtually on the 16^th–17^th March.

27-28 April 2022: CIO Cloud Transformation Summit

Our first CIO UK event of the year will be the CIO Cloud Transformation Summit, taking place virtually from 27^th–28^th April.

The majority of IT and business leaders will soon be running companies that are more digital than physical. This event looks to address how technology leaders can continue to maximise cloud capabilities to build new, more agile business systems, continue driving the digital enterprise, address new customer requirements and support resilient operations.

NEW: 16 June 2022: Next CIO

CIO UK is launching Next CIO, a new awards programme which will recognise and celebrate the best rising stars across the UK IT sector. Through interviews at CIO UK, awards, and mentoring opportunities, Next CIO will help aspiring IT leaders develop their careers, build their networks, and improve their skill sets. As our first in-person event of 2022, the Next CIO awards will take place on Thursday 16^th June in London, where we will shine a spotlight on some of the Next CIO cohort.

22 and 27 September: The UK CIO 100 Awards and Conference

The highly-anticipated CIO 100 UK Awards will take place in September this year. For 2022, we will be hosting the Awards Ceremony in person on Thursday 22^nd September, followed by the virtual CIO 100 Conference on Tuesday 27^th September, where you will hear success stories and gain strategic insight from some of the UK’s best and brightest technology leaders.  

Applications will open on Monday 14^th March 2022 and you can register interest here to receive further updates.

11-13 October: Official CIO Summit UK

The Official CIO Summit UK will take place virtually from 11^th–13^th October. Spanning three days, expect a jam-packed agenda of keynotes, leadership sessions, interactive discussion, and insight from some of the leading UK CIOs on enterprise agility, leadership, sustainable transformation, and more.

30 November and 6 December: UK CSO 30 Awards and Conference

Closing the year, CSO UK will present the CSO 30 Awards and Conference with an in-person Awards Ceremony held on Wednesday 30^th November, followed by the virtual conference on Tuesday 6^th December.

Applications for the CSO 30 will open on Monday 13^th June and the criteria will cover new cyber security initiatives, expanding the influence of the cybersecurity team, working better with suppliers and industry bodies, improving your cyber security culture and key technology investment areas.

Executive Roundtables:

Our busy programme of executive roundtables will continue throughout 2022 as we look to host exclusive discussions on a range of important topics for you, including how to build a business from anywhere in the world and establishing a people-first approach to cyber security.
